Forum Rules

1. Offensive Language

• Here at Project Monoxide we do not encourage our members to use offensive language towards our members.
  

2. SPAM

• We do not tolerate SPAM (Stupid, Pointless, or Annoying Messages) here at Project Monoxide, please post intelligently
  
  Simply posting one word does not usually help anyone, explain your posts/answers.
  
  Things that will be considered spam:
  
  Posts in all capital letters
  Posts that only consist of images
  Posts with large amounts of emoticons
  Posts not related to the topic, or in the wrong forum
  Quoting someone without adding a response to their message.
  Excessively creating large amounts topics with little discussion value.
  

3. Edit

• The edit button is there for a reason, if you have something to add please edit your posts. Do not double post, it will not be tolerated.
  The only place double posting is allowed is in the Goals and Achievements Forum, if you are posting a new accomplishment.
  

4. Bumping

• The only place we will allow bumping is any Marketplace related category and in the Clan Recruitment forums. Everywhere else it is NOT allowed.
  Threads in these areas may only be bumped ONCE ever 24 hours.
  

5. Flaming/Flame Baiting

• Flame baiting is when one attempts to provoke a response that is classed as flaming. Or saying something that would annoy the other person (not classed as flaming) so they will flame back.
  
  Flaming is engaging in an argument usually involving unfounded personal attacks by one or more people.
  Neither flaming or flame baiting will be tolerated here. It is a zero-tolerance policy. Any flame baits/flames will receive an official warning.
  

6. Signatures

• Here at Project Monoxide, the signature limit is 600x500 pixels. Any member with an over sized signature will have it removed.
  

7. Questioning a Moderator or Admin Decision

• Do not question moderator or admin decisions in public forums.
  
  If you have a question PM that person instead of posting it
  
  If someone is banned they were banned for a reason, we do not ban people randomly. Please do not ask about why people were banned.
  

8. Reporting

• If someone is breaking any rules please use the QUOTE button then PM a mod, and the mods will get to it ASAP.
  
  Please also report posts that need to be closed such as completed threads in marketplace, on answered questions.
  Do NOT post on topics that are breaking the rules, this only brings them more attention and you are risking getting in trouble yourself.
  

9. Plagiarism

• Any Kind of plagiarism (taking stuff without asking) will not be tolerated. This includes graphics, and written work. You must say where you got the info, and credit it properly.
  

10. Language

• The following is not allowed: excessive swearing, racism, sexual language, and references to illegal drugs.
  
  Images/Videos with mild language may be posted only if there is a WARNING above the picture or in the topics description.
  

11. Advertising

• We do not want people to create topics for the sole purpose of advertising personal websites/server or other Runescape fan sites. The only exception to this is clan sites, in the recruitment forum (This MUST be checked by a staff member before advertising the site).
  
  This includes advertising someone elses personal site for them.
  
  You may have links to personal websites in your Signature only, if they are not rule violating in anyway.
  
  Advertising sites which collect personal data (name, email, address, etc) are not allowed whatsoever. You may not post these in your signature.
  

12. Font Color

• As the template for the forum is a white background, this can make it hard to see some colors which have a low contrast. Please do not write in these colors.
  

13. Impersonating Other Members

• Impersonating other members on this forum is not allowed.
  Any account that is being used for impersonation will be locked.
  

14. Name Changes

• Name changes are not permitted.
  You are however allowed to request small changes. A small change may be either a capitalization change or removal/addition of numbers.
  We will only do any major name changes if your name contains vulgar words
  

Please read the rules atleast once per week. We will update the rules anytime we make any changes.
